Waterville, ME - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon menn's cross country runner Christopher Chichester (Orleans, VT) garnered two North Atlantic Conference post-season honors, as voted on by conference coaches and announced on Wednesday. Chichester was named to both the NAC All-Conference First Team and the NAC Men's Cross Country Sportsmanship Team.
Chichester, a junior computer information systems major who transferred to NVU-Lyndon this fall, had an outstanding rookie season. He finished eithth at Saturday's North Atlantic Conference Championship and has been the Hornets' top finisher in every race this season. He finished second at the Vermont State Meet, third at the NVU-Lyndon Invitatonal, and fifth at the Colby-Sawyer Charger Invitational. His personal best was 27:58 at the Western New England Invitational on October 19th.
Selection to the Sportsmanship Team is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees are individuals who have positively affected the soccer culture and environment and whose behavior clearly demonstrates sportsmanship and integrity that go beyond the playing rules and etiquette.

Chichester will lead the Hornets into the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships on November 16th. The race will begin at 111:00 am and be held at Bowdoin College.
