Chichester's top ten finish paces Hornet men at  NAC Championship

Lyndonville, VT - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon junior Christopher Chichester (Orleans, VT) finished eighth in the field of 87 runners in Saturday's North Atlantic Conference Championship, hosted on the Lyndon Cross Country Trail.  Chichester covered the 8K course in 30:46.0.  Aiden Berlinski of SUNY Delhi captured individual honors, besting teammate Abshir Yerow and John Hassett of Maine Maritime Academy.

Lyndon freshman Michael Bear (Colchester, CT) finished in 34:48.7, good for 36th place.  Luc Parrett (Eden Mills, VT), running his first collegiate race, finished 47th in 36:43.6.  Peter Gilding (St. Johnsbury, VT) and Joseph Gonzalez-Lyons (Plattsburgh, NY) also scored for the Hornets.

The Hornets finished in eighth place as a team.  SUNY Delhi captured the conference title, comfortably outdistancing Maine Maritime Academy.  For a complete recap of the championship click HERE.

Lyndon also earned a point towards the Northern Vermont University President's Cup by virtue of finishing ahead of NVU-Johnson.  The Hornets' total of 193 put them comfortably ahead of the Badgers, who finished with 255.

The Hornets will now shift their focus to the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship, which will be held at Bowdoin College on Saturday, November 16th.  Race time will be 11:00 am.
