CASTINE, Maine – Lyndon beat North Atlantic Conference member Maine-Maritime Academy on Friday evening behind a 27-point performance from Avery King.
He made five 3-point shots, helping his team defeat the Mariners by a final of 75-60. Maine-Maritime's offensive attack was led by Tyler Thayer; he finished the night with 14 points.
The Hornets shot 49 percent from the field while Maine-Maritime shot 45.5 percent.
Lyndon made their free throws count, only missing two throughout the game and shooting 91.7 percent on free throws in the second half.
With the victory Lyndon moves to 4-11 overall and 3-6 in NAC play. The Mariners are now 1-15 overall and 0-9 in NAC action.
Lyndon's next contest will be Saturday when they take on Husson University. That game gets underway at 3:00 p.m.
