Lyndon men compete at the WNE Invitational
Springfield, MA - The Lyndon State College men's cross country team competed at the Western New England University Invitational on Saturday morning.  Junior Benjamin Cornell (Burrilville, RI) led the Hornets with a 13th place overall finish.  Cornell covered the 8k course in 28:17.  Other scorers for Lyndon were Matt Francis (Freeport, ME), Brian Corrigan (Andover, MA), Darren Williams (Wiesbaden, Germany), and CJ Jimmy (Modesto, CA).

"The men as a whole are finally starting to reach the fitness they'll need for the conference championship," said Hornet Head Coach Chris Ummer.  "This was the first race in which Francis and Corrigan really worked and raced as a team. That type of mindset will get them far in two weeks at the conference meet."

The cross country team will race next Saturday, October 21st, at the Plansky Invitational hosted by Williams College.  The men's race will follow the 12:00 noon women's race.
