SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Lyndon men's cross country teams had four personal best times as they raced to an 11th-place finish Saturday at the Western New England University Invitational.
Competing without their top-four runners, the Hornets received strong efforts from sophomores Ayan Cole (Lyndonville, Vt.) and Devin Low (Centerville, Mass.) who notched 8-kilometer personal bests of 28:57 and 28:58 respectively.
Senior Dylan Robichaud (Orange, Mass.) also clocked a personal record by cruising through the course in 29:44.
"This race was exactly what I hoped to see from Ayan, Devin, and Dylan," said Lyndon Head Coach Chris Ummer. "Their steady improvement is vital for the men's team to retain its NAC title. I'm confident these will continue to improve. "
The Hornet's next race is on Sunday, Nov. 2nd at the NAC Championships held at Castleton State College.
