Hornets place third at Bowdoin College Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Lyndon men's cross country team opened the 2014 season with a strong performance as they captured third place behind New England powerhouses Tufts and Bowdoin  College at the Bowdoin College Invitational.

Senior Kenedi Hall (Hartland, Vt.) began his final season with a personal best 26:14 over the 8-kilometer course. Hall was followed by fellow senior Tyler Scheibenpflug (Wolcott, Conn.) in a time of 27:08. Juniors Josh Hopmans (Hinsdale, Mass.) and Tim LaRoche (South Hadley, Mass.) covered the course in a time of 28:12 and 28:52 respectively.
 
Sophomore Devin Low (Centerville, Mass.) rounded out the top five scorers in a time of 30:24.
 
The Hornet's next race is on Sept. 27th when they face several of the top teams in New England at the Purple Valley Invitational hosted by Williams College.
