Lyndon teams earns third USTFCCCA All-Academic honor

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — For the third time in the past four years, the Lyndon men's and women's cross country teams have earned the distinction of winning a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team Award.

Lyndon was one of 146 men's programs, and 215 women's teams, to receive the honor that is given to a cross country team that has a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.10 through the 2013 fall semester.

The Hornets women's program earned a team GPA of 3.30 while the men had a mark of 3.13. Lyndon is one of two North Atlantic Conference members to be named to both the men's and women's USTFCCCA All-Academic team.

"These two teams present Lyndon and the NAC well not only on the trails but in the classroom as well," said Lyndon Head Coach Chris Ummer. "They are what NCAA D III student-athletes are all about."

The Husson University men's and women's programs were named to the team as well.
