Lyndon men dominate All-NAC selections

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Kyle Powers once again led Lyndon to the North Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country title and earned his second-straight Runner of the Year award. Powers, who won the NAC Championship in a time of 27:42.01, edged out Maine Maritime's Matt Methot who took home the title in 2010.

Powers' teammate, and first-year runner, Aaron Bellomo toured the eight-kilometer course in 28:58.81, good enough for sixth-place overall and Rookie of the Year honors.

In a vote of the conference coaches, Lyndon head coach Chris Ummer was honored as conference Coach of the Year for the sixth-straight season after leading the Hornets to their fifth title in six seasons.

Thomas College earned the league's Sportsmanship Award under the direction of Head Coach Kerry Smart.

The top seven finishers, plus the medalist at the NAC Championship are honored as All-Conference First Team runners, while the next seven runners are honored as All-Conference Second Team runners.
