New London, NH - Lyndon State College dropped a 9-0 decision to Colby-Sawyer College in North Atlantic Conference play at the Mountainside Racquet and Fitness Club on Saturday morning. Colby-Sawyer improves to 3-9 overall and 2-0 in the NAC, while Lyndon remains winless in eight overall and three conference matches.
In doubles play, the Chargers' Matt Burke (Milford, CT) and Cam Lynch (Hverhill, MA) defeated the Hornet duo of Jake LaCerda (Gray, ME) and Neal Mulligna (Marshfield, VT) 8-4 in the first flight. Colby-Sawyer picked up 8-0 sweeps at second and third doubles.
The Hornets didn't fare any better in singles play, as Lyndon only managed to win a combined seven games over the six flights.
Lyndon will host Johnson State College on Wednesday at 3:30 pm at the Dudley Bell Tennis Center. Colby-Sawyer is scheduled to play at Middlebury College tomorrow.
