Bessette and Hunter named to NAC Men's Lacrosse All-Tournament Team

Henniker, NH - Lyndon State College men's lacrosse players Marcus Bessette (Pembroke, NH) and Brandon Hunter (Glastonbury, CT) were named to the 2018 North Atlantic Conference All-Tournament Team for their play in this season's NAC Championships.  The Hornets entered the tournament as the #5 seed and defeated #4 Maine Maritime Academy 8-5 in the quarterfinals before falling to top seeded New England College 23-5 in the semifinals.  NEC went on to capture the NAC Championship with a 12-7 win over Castleton University today.

Bessette, a senior goalie, stopped eight of 13 shots against Maine Maritime and 18 of 43 shots against NEC.  Hunter, a junior midfielder, anchored the Hornet defense while recording five ground balls and two caused turnovers against the Mariners and two ground balls and one caused turnover against the Pilgrims.

The Hornets closed the 2018 campaign with a 7-9 record and reached the conference semi-finals for the third consecutive season.
