Four players receive NAC men’s lacrosse honors

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. – The North Atlantic Conference released the men's lacrosse All-Conference selections Monday with Lyndon garnering four Second Team selections.  Sophomore attackman Kevin McCarthy (West Sayville, N.Y.) finished the NAC regular season with 20 goals, seven assists, eight ground balls, and four caused turnovers.  Freshman attack Spencer Aubin (Sharon, Mass.) tallied 18 goals, three assists, and 12 ground balls.  Freshman midfielder Shea Jones (Hull, Mass.) recorded 14 goals, 15 assists, 31 ground balls, and nine caused turnovers.  Freshman defenseman Marshall Blackman (North Attleboro, Mass.) anchored the Hornets defense with 22 ground balls, 14 caused turnovers, and one goal.

With the release of All-Conference came the Coach of the Year honor which, for the second year, was bestowed upon Lyndon's Kevin Pezanowski.  Pezanowski led the Hornets to their best record ever and a fourth seed in the NAC playoffs.  In conference play, Lyndon ranked second in caused turnovers (100), third in assists (54), fourth in goals (94), and fourth in ground balls (293).

The Hornets travel to New England College for the NAC semifinals Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
