HENNIKER, N.H. – The Lyndon State College men's lacrosse team continued North Atlantic Conference play Wednesday afternoon with a 23-6 loss at New England College.
Spencer Aubin (Sharon, Mass.) who scored twice and had an assist, led the Hornets while Kevin McCarthy (West Sayville, N.Y.) finished with two goals. Shea Jones (Hull, Mass.) added a goal and an assist to go along with a team-high six ground balls.
NEC was led by Skyler Saunders who finished the game four goals and four assists. Sean Largay led all goal scorers finishing with five, while Jarred Sausville notched four goals and Matt Richard had three goals and three assists.
Amani Mwingira led the Pilgrims with seven ground balls, while Austin Frankel scooped up six ground balls.
NEC out shot Lyndon 44-22 on the afternoon and won 22-of-34 face-offs. NEC finished the game 15-of-17 in clears, while Lyndon was 7-of-10.
Splitting time in net for NEC was William Platt who made two saves and Daniel Tibbrine who notched five saves.
The Hornets (0-5, 0-2 NAC) travel to take on Castleton Wednesday, April 6 at 4:00 p.m. for another conference matchup.
The Pilgrims (3-5, 2-0 NAC) continue conference play with a visit to Thomas College on Saturday.
