Eason named All-New England by D3baseball.com

Lyndonville, VT - Lyndon State College senior baseball player Andre Eason Jr. (Waterbury, CT) has been named to the 2018 D3baseball.com All-New England Region 2nd Team. Eason, an Applied Psychology and Criminal Justice major, is only the second Lyndon athlete to ever be recognized by any of the D3sports.com family of websites, following women's basketball player Mikayla Hodge (Newbury, VT), who was named to the D3hoops.com All-Northeast Region team this past winter.

Eason was Lyndon's center fielder this season.  He led the North Atlantic Conference with a .411 batting average.  His .517 slugging percentage was good for 7th in the NAC.  He also drove in 34 runs and collected 12 extra base hits, including nine doubles.  Defensively, he recorded 84 putouts and 4 assists against only one error in center field.

Eason led the Hornets to a 20-20 overall record this season, including a 15-7 record in the NAC, the program's best conference mark ever.  Lyndon finished in second place in the NAC and finished third in the NAC championship Tournament.
